Shoot ALL the Tournament Stations through this Weekend

The weather certainly added a challenge for our course team at this past weekend’s Fall Challenge tournament so they’re taking a break and leaving the 14 stations with Sunday’s presentations and menus open through this weekend. I know us volunteers sure want to shoot the current variety.

Even better, just this Wednesday’s shotgun start shoot will let you shoot the full 100-target course. You can still buy only 75 targets but we thought many would like to experience all 100 of the great targets set by Darryl, Phil, Eric, et al. This Wednesday’s Fall Special, therefore, is:

  • Oct 2 Workday Wednesday Shotgun Start Shoot:
    • 12 pm prompt start. Paid and ready to shoot.
    • Shack opens approximately 30 mins before.
    • $25 for 75 targets. $35 for $100. Please pay by cash or check to speed up check-in.
    • If you could, squad with others based on the number of targets (75 with 75, etc.). so the squads can rotate through the course evenly. There will be no 75 bird menu posted.
    • Leftover scorecards will be available.

Standard weekend prices apply October 5 and 6.

We know some of you who competed want to come back and attack your nemesis station. See you out there.

34 on Saturday and 29 on Sunday only slightly rain and snow-soaked competitors.

Saturday and Sunday

Our first registered shoot is happening this weekend both days. Five Stand is closed to provide additional area for this event. The sporting clay course will show case 14 stations with 28 traps.

Registration opens at 8:30 am with a shotgun start at 10 am. Your Sporting Clay Volunteers have put together from start to finish a wonderful event and would so appreciate your attendance.

You need not be an experienced tournament shooter to participate. Come and join in the hunter class. When the shoot is over each day stay and enjoy a visit with shooters both local and traveling. You also get access to the rifle, pistol and trap ranges for no shooter fee in the pm.

See you at the range tomorrow. The Sporting Clay Team – Eric, Phil, Darryl, Sarah, Bill, Jeff, Jim, Steve and David

Incredible Opportunity to Shoot a Tournament Set Up

This weekend we will be opening our pre-tournament 14 station course with 28 different trap presentations specifically designed for multiple levels of shooters. We have come from 5 stations and 10 machines just 9 months ago to hosting a registered shoot September 28-29 thanks to hundreds of hours of volunteer time, grants and generous donations.

Our course setters will be on site this weekend to receive your feedback on the new station locations and thrown targets. It is important for us to have numerous shooters come through the site and share their experiences. So come shoot by yourself using the Long Range time delay system or join a group and break some clays. Why not bring out a group for a fun day in the sunshine at your club?

Five Stand area is being used these next two weekends due to the larger area required to add stations for the tournament. Those who shoot five stand can enjoy multiple targets at any of the 14 stations this weekend.
