Welcome to Sporting Clays and 5 Stand!
We offer both Sporting Clays and 5 Stand, a patterning station, and certified instruction, all successfully run by volunteers. The facility is designed for novice and expert level shooters, either as an individual shooter or in a group. We recently added a wireless card reader system allowing for accurate target counts and time-delayed launching for the single shooter.
Sporting Clays: Our course includes 10-14 stations, depending on the day, with targets appearing from 20+ different presentations. A great simulation of rabbits, waterfowl and upland birds offer the novice achievable targets and the veteran shooter a challenge.
5 Stand: 5 stations with multiple machines provides a fun shooting area where you can shoot multiple birds from one station. It is a type of shotgun sport combining aspects of sporting clays, trap and skeet. Shooters shoot in turn at each of the five stations.
ATVs/Carts: Designated trailer parking is available for those who choose to ride through our pathways. The course is also an easy walk for those who prefer to push a gun cart.
Finding Sporting Clays at the Club: Once you enter the Redmond Rod and Gun Club property (about two-thirds of a mile from the highway and behind the solar farm) continue along the road following the signs to the Sporting Clays range.
On arrival: Check in at the Lodge where a knowledgeable volunteer will get you started. Bring your shotgun, hearing and eye protection, and shells. Maximum shot size of 7.5, target loads only.
We hope that you will join our adventure. Bring a friend or join in with a group. Browse our blog for additional information, hours of operation, and pictures of our range.
